Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Society being shaped to benefit men, both covertly and overtly, both concious and unconscious.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
Simple things like being unable to feel like I can cry in front of people, due to being bullied for being ‘weak’ and ‘unmanly’ for years as a child due to being an often crying child.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I have been unpleasant to women, stared at them, made sexual comments, for many years.
How would you define masculinity?
Being ‘tough’, not showing any perceived ‘weakness’, hiding from emotions.
