Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The functions by which the rights, opinions and actions of men outweigh and outrank those of women, regardless of objectivity.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It has created certain cultures by which I feel, as a man, I must abide. I am not entirely free to be the person I wish. However, having said this, I understand that being a straight, white male in Western Europe is akin to playing computer games on the ‘Easy’ setting.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
It has probably made me make offhand remarks about women which, if I really thought about it at the tine, I do not mean.
How would you define masculinity?
Maintaining an illusion of being able to do sport, fix a car, drink 10 pints in a row, beat up another person and watching Top Gear.
Does misandry exist?
There are women who do have a complete contempt for all men, but I imagine you could count that number of women on one hand. even if that hand belonged to a member of the Yakuza.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Only in a way that has advantaged me
What best describes you?
