Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Power and aurhority revolving disproportionately around men – especially when this is deemed by some to be ‘natural’ – whether in the home, work, politics or anywhere. Bad.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
Lots of almost unnoticeable ways. Stereotypes; expectations; not living in as diversely a society as we deserve to; etc etc.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I hope i haven’t. But the unjustified social expectations of patriarchy are deeply ingrained in our culture, and I’m sure this seeps out of all individuals in one way or another from time to time.
How would you define masculinity?
Being a man. Nothing more, nothing less.
Does misandry exist?
no doubt it could be a thing. but that’s a different question of whether it’s a major societal problem; it’s not.
