Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Men rulling women in society.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
never existed to me. My family comes from a middle-eastern village.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
Well, one day in college I was talking to a guy or women, not sure and one day I asked why does he care so much of being different? what are all silly cloth? Why can’t you be a normal men. Some how he was a mad and talked loudly about patriarchy and social construct stuff.
How would you define masculinity?
My father used to tell me that each time you were getting on top of the mountain you felt free and wasn’t scared of anything beside god. Even tough you felt free you still had resposibility. like going back home. The feeling you had on top of this mountain was equivalent of being a men and only a man can have this exact feeling to its limit. I remember to have asked my father: “what does feminity feels like?” He simply told me: “it’s the same thing, but just add a kid in the arm of the person on top of the mountain. The feeling a person can feel is only fully achivable by a woman. And you have to protect her and her special she gets daily with your kid. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to tell youn this.” I never really asked anything else on the subject. It was enough for me.
Does misandry exist?
I don’t know what misandry is!
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
he also told me that I say that because i’m heterosexual. I guess that’s not an argument and an insult based upon what I am.
What best describes you?
None of the above
