Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The idea that men are the leaders of the world and are expected to behave in a particular way, taking charge of situations and being stronger that women. It perpetuates the notion that women are inferior and thus should be subservient to men. It is bollocks.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It hasn’t really, there is the pressure to be more stereotypically masculine but the fact is that patriarchy doesn’t affect me very much at all.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I like to think I haven’t, I try to be as good a feminist as I can but I understand that I’ve probably unintentionally hurt someone in this way because of patriarchy.
