About the show: Dave Pickering takes us on a personal journey through gender as he tries to explain masculinity both to you and to himself. Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
A boogey man used to confuse and convolute weak minded, followers into believing without questioning.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It has brainwashed a generation or two of college aged folk into either entitled baby-adults or self flagellating males.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I may have pointed out a few logical fallacies that exist in an extreme leftist’s world views that may have lead to some “triggering” and “taking of offence”. But, this is a personal problem for those people.
How would you define masculinity?
Willpower and the ability to channel it to mold the physical world. Cold and piercing logical analysis of observable facts and phenomenon. The willingness to accept responsibility and understand that all actions have consequences. Balanced (not equal to) out perfectly by femininity.
Does misandry exist?
All types of people and all types of opinions, so goes without saying that some dislike of men/boys would exist.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
I get weird looks when I (a male) exit a female public restroom having only stopped in briefly to go number one, with the seat up (and returned down).
What best describes you?
None of the above
One’s belief system shouldn’t be set in stone, but if labels are required a moral relativist/realist I suppose.
