Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
A social construct which favours men over women, for no reason other than gender
How has patriarchy hurt you?
The constructs of distinct masculine and feminine characteristics generated by a patriarchal society have led me to experience bullying from other males when I express characteristics of both groups.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
Under pressure of my peers (during my teenage years) I have dealt out the bullying described above.
How would you define masculinity?
Displaying characteristics such as physical strength, social dominance, undeterred by emotemotions and with a strong sex drive. It is not an idea I care for.
Does misandry exist?
In the way that it is an irrational hatred of men. I believe people express it, but not as a social movement or organisation, just a characteristic of a few irrational people
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
As a male pole dancer I experienced grief from my male peers (derisive jokes about my sexuality, becoming a stripper etc.), and was initially avoided by my female classmates at the dance studio
