How would you define patriarchy?
1. a form of social organization in which the father is the supreme authority in the family, clan, or tribe and descent is reckoned in the male line, with the children belonging to the father’s clan or tribe. 2. a society, community, or country based on this social organization.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It doesn’t really exist in the western world circa 2015. I guess you could say Islamic terrorism is a “patriarchy” problem, but only because it’s one of the few large truly patriarchal societies remaining.

Something traditionally considered to be characteristic of a male. The opposite of a San Francisco skinny jeans hipster.
