Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
“Patriarchy is a social system in which: males hold primary power; males predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property; and, in the domain of the family, fathers or father-figures hold authority over women and children.”
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It hasn’t. Obviously, Britain does not have a patriarchy.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I haven’t, see 3.
How would you define masculinity?
“Masculinity (also called manliness or manhood) is a set of attributes, behaviors, and roles generally associated with boys and men. Masculinity is made up of both socially defined and biologically created factors.”
Does misandry exist?
To an extent, there are extremists who seem to take joy in division and scapegoating men as a whole for their personal problems.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Whenever I have a debate with a woman and point out their one sided argument on equality they say “you wouldn’t understand you’re a man”.
What best describes you?
None of the above
I’m a humanist. By the way an egalitarian and equalist are arguably the same thing in modern political thought.
