Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The control of resources by men.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I don’t believe I have.
How would you define masculinity?
As an embodied male perspective of the world that governs behaviour and thinking.
Does misandry exist?
In some ways worse than male chauvinism. Some men, in quite an obvious way, simply don’t regard women as being equally competent in the affairs of the world. Some women disregard whole swathes of the male population as suitable mates for breeding purposes because of status and income regardless of a given individual man’s virtues.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Women are way tougher on women than any man is. A woman gets out of line and it is the other women who lay into her. A man may simply rebuke a woman but other women will be incessant in their censure of a woman. The same women would not do that to a man who similarly screws up.
What best describes you?
An ally to feminism
