Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
A male dominated society where women are not equal.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
Being a man I am in a position of privilege. However, patriarchy does not exist in isolation, all sorts of groups of people are treated unjustly and unequally. Personally, despite being in a well paid job I find it difficult to live comfortably due to economic injustices.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I don’t think I have taken advantage of my white, male, western privilege. Apart from my mere existence in a position of relative privilege, I try to treat everyone with the same degree of kindness and respect. I find this most challenging with men who wholeheartedly embrace white male dominant society.
How would you define masculinity?
Andy Warhol said that every strong woman wants to be dominated by a weak man. I aspire to be that kind of man. My girlfriend describes me as a sex-positive feminist lesbian with a cock. She loves cock.
Does misandry exist?
I see it as a reactionary symptom of patriarchy.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Sexist comments from reactionary women. I forgave them immediately as I could see they were only being defensive due to previous injustices perpetrated by patriarchal men and didn’t take it personally.
What best describes you?
None of the above
I’m a sex-positive feminist lesbian poet with an average dick but with a higher than average knowledge of female anatomy.
