Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
A system made by men for the advantage of men, disregarding or covering up the experiences of other genders.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
I feel that as a non-sporty nerdy kid and failing to live up to gender stereotypes, resulted in bullying to an intense degree.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I have no idea, as a misanthrope I stay out of people’s way as much as possible. I’ve been as much a victim of patriarchy during my youth as anyone (which is pretty much the point of it- I like the idea that those who represent the masculine gender stereotype as children fail epically in adulthood as society doesn’t really need thuggish, violent, ignorant hunter-gatherer types.
How would you define masculinity?
A pain in the arse of people everywhere. An idea that is impossible to attain and those who constantly strive to it give themselves unnecessary stresses.
Does misandry exist?
I have no issue with being hated just for being male, it’s a product of years and years of oppression. I won’t change anything in my lifetime. People who normally express prejudice in that way are stubborn to changing their opinions, so why bother? as long as I feel like I’m doing the right thing- people’s opinions of me don’t matter to me.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
What best describes you?
None of the above
