Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The tacit understanding among men that the power structure is male dominated and men have a vested interest in maintaining that model.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
Growing up with a single mother, I was often left out of father-son events which ultimately contribute to popularity in school if not life.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I used to buy into the model that men made more money because they where less focused on childcare, and was thus dismissive of equal pay initiatives.
How would you define masculinity?
Masculinity to me is more inline with self-agency, determination, and emotional fortitude, though I do not believe these attributes are exclusively in the domain of masculinity.
Does misandry exist?
Misandry exists, but not in the systemic forms in which misogyny and racism exist.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Only in a way that has advantaged me
