Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
A system of structural rules in society that ensure men have more decision making power and rights than women.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It has told me which decisions are acceptable and which are effiminate and made me second guess or avoid things I actually wanted to do for fear of being seen as feminine. Encouraged me to eat and do unhealthy things and endure unnecessary pain because pain is manly.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I am generally emotionally unavailable which hurts the feelings of others. I’ve probably gotten jobs over more qualified women though I never met them.
How would you define masculinity?
Doing what you want whenever you want regardless of consequences
Does misandry exist?
Misandry is fucking bullshit
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
My boss very much did not want to give me leave to take care of my newborn because that is a woman’s job.
What best describes you?
An ally to feminism
I’m certainly not an activist, but i say I’m an ally because what i do is listen and adjust my own behavior.
