Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The systematic oppression of all but rich men by rich men, as accomplished through ubiquitous propaganda about “traditional” gender roles.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
By influencing how I think in ways I am still learning how to combat.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
Can’t think of any specific examples. But the insidious nature of patriarchy is that tiny aspects of speech/action can subtly and gradually reinforce its damaging atmosphere without anyone involved even noticing until it is too late.
How would you define masculinity?
A marketing tool.
Does misandry exist?
I’ve never experienced it. However, regardless of gender/sexuality, some people are genuinely awful.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Possibly positively, but I’ve never thought to look for it.
