Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Where power or influence defaults to men.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It has dumped me in a system where the stereotype of masculinity is an ideal and if I wanted the easiest path I need to conform to that. Most importantly it’s probably made my work-life more male-dominated than it should be.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I don’t know. Never consciously and I’m concerned at how I have unconsciously.
How would you define masculinity?
I wouldn’t. Gender is not a binary state and I suspect masculinity and femininity overlap. I’m possibly not eloquent enough to explain what I mean here.
Does misandry exist?
But not in a great amount.
