Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The institutionalized, cultural, male-dominated and overly-narrow definitions of gender roles in society.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
I don’t fit neatly into the rather narrow view of masculinity that the patriarchy espouses.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I am not aware of having done so. I am, however, aware that I’m often not aware of how my behavior affects others, nor of what factors influence my behavior.
How would you define masculinity?
swaggering, chest-thumping, beer-swilling bullshit.
Does misandry exist?
Misandry exists at the level of individuals (and even some groups) discriminating (consciously or unconsciously) against men. However, it does not exist at the institutionalized, culturally-pervasive level that misanthropy does.
