Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
A society with a deliberately-fostered male domnation.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
I don’t think it has. I interviewed for my current job (in HE) 16 years ago, and was the successful candidate on the grounds of various excercises and interviews which were equally male/female
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I hope I have not. I don’t make staffing decisions, so that aspect is clear enough. In day-to-day life, I believe I act equitably.
How would you define masculinity?
The standard physical and mental attributes that have male connotations – physical strength, huniting instinct etc
