Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Communities and societies which are male-dominated and male-controlled
How has patriarchy hurt you?
It makes me want to cry when I see patriarchal actions hurt women who can’t or don’t stand up for themselves…
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
By joking about penises with my mates when in mixed company, the majority of which is male.
How would you define masculinity?
I would like to define it positively: Protectiveness, resilience, strength and courage. If it can be defined like this, it is a coin easily flipped: Protectiveness can belie the belief of ownership and hence selfishness. Resilience, strength and courage can stem from a headstrong, arrogant immutability. I think women can reveal the best of masculinity.
Does misandry exist?
It exists, but it is a niche hobby, practised by humanity only occasionally and very rarely in a serious way. Like Monopoly.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
What best describes you?
