Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Essentially, the combined effects of power, privileges and preference given to men solely due to their gender.

Born into a gender war, fed ignorant lies about women and girls. Gender roles and expectations narrow and deviations punishable with threat of or actual violence.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
Made ignorant assumptions about needs and abilities. Tendency to react to feminist complaint as if I were being victimised, so able to dismiss problem. Suspicious of some strategies to gain equality in this competitive world. Tolerated sexism to avoid male suspicion.
How would you define masculinity?
I don’t have one to hand. Mostly a list of negatives. Sexually motivated posturing, status chasing and a readiness to commit violence. Christ.
