Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The way males are viewed as the dominant sex, and that the modern world is built around that perception
How has patriarchy hurt you?
with expectations for me to be a “manly” man, and affecting relationships in the roles we are expected to take. I feel I have to be dishonest about who I am.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
i would hope not, but I imagine that I have also enforced the gender stereotype in my expectations of others
How would you define masculinity?
masculinity feels like it is defined by its portrayal in magazines/media – to be a stereotypical leader and be sexually driven.
Does misandry exist?
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
I was rejected from a job as “wouldn’t fit in with an all-female office”
What best describes you?
By definition a feminist is an egalitarian – I do not subscribe to the feminism=misandry thought
