Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
The inbuilt notion that men should rule and therefore be in charge of everything from companies to their relationships.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
I am rarely unable to look at a woman without thinking “oh, I wonder when she’s going to get pregnant…”. Stupid mammalian brain.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
Not that I’m aware of.
How would you define masculinity?
A set of expectations for a social group that realistically cannot be enforced nor apply to everyone.
Does misandry exist?
Any social group can be prejudiced against.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
I ignorantly slagged off International Men’s Day (I think I evoked the patriarchy and said International Women’s Day championed more important inequalities). A Gamergate troll reacted with “she still won’t sleep you, [my name]” thus implying that the ONLY reason a guy would speak up for women’s rights is to impress them and get laid.
What best describes you?
Why wouldn’t you want women to be paid the same as men?
