Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
“a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it” (Dictionary definition which I agree with)
How has patriarchy hurt you?
By creating default assumptions about what I am and am not capable of, and what I should and should not do, as a ‘lady’.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
By making assumptions about what other people are capable of, and should/should not do.
How would you define masculinity?
Qualities typically associated with men.
Does misandry exist?
But it is not a problem in the same way as the patriarchy because of the male/female societal imbalance which exists (it’s still a problem, just not as serious)
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
As a woman I feel I have been fortunate to not experience as overt discrimination/predjudice as many other women do. I think this is pure luck and chance rather than any specific qualities I possess as a woman.
