Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Patriarchy is the common system nearly every society in the world runs on. It is a system run by men for the advancement/advantage/pleasure of men. The indoctrination in a patriarchal society means women help spread it just as much as men because it’s become the premise behind any society.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
Patriarchy creates a system that favours a certain kind of male figure and if you don’t fit into that mold (depending on the specifics of your given society) you are seen as less than. Depending on how much you differ from that standard trope you are either seen as just above a woman but below other men or below even a woman if you don’t conform to the standard.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I think by judging other men and casting them in those stereotypes.
How would you define masculinity?
Strength, physical and mental. Intelligence. Someone who is honourable and defends other people’s honour. Someone who stands up need be and won’t back down.
Does misandry exist?
But that doesn’t mean someone would be able to act on it freely
