Does patriarchy exist?
How would you define patriarchy?
Int that the thing where a man is in control? Cuz if it is ah reckon it’s too intertwined in our social fabric. At least ere in the ukay. See thing is powerful women are sexy as fuck. I want more of that controlling me. Way I was brought up was my mum was the boss ov the house. Me dad made the money but she were in full control over it and he were still a manly type man. The kind that drinks beer at night and watches manly things like that oh whats it called now? The film with the shit actor who just stares inta middle distance the hole time. Always sin holding a gun on the box. An yet me mum were in command. He had some real good oppor tunities an all, like he were offered a job in australia once and some builder were selling half finishes houses cuz he went bankrupt. Me dad wanid to do them but me mum said no so it never happaned. But they were proper happy still.
How has patriarchy hurt you?
I wanted to be an art psychotherapist but I didn’t get it because the women interviewing me said it was mostly a woman-dominated field… at the time like. And that I’d need to be a bit softer to get in.
How have you hurt people in a way influenced by patriachy?
I dunno. I hope not.
How would you define masculinity?
Different to patriachy which seems to be a larger negative thing. Masculinity seems more personal, better in a way. It’s like it doesn’t affect those around them. It’s like wearing shit pants, or great pants, or tight pants. You might look a clown to some or a hero to others, but that’s all it extends to.
Does misandry exist?
Does it balls. Fucking hell.
Have you experienced gender and/or sex related prejudice?
Only in a way that has advantaged me
I pretended to be pally in a bloke way and I got a job out of it. A work job. Dint last long tho.
